How To: Shrimp Scampi in 10 Minutes

This recipe is amazing! I made it today and fell in love. It's seriously the best thing I've ever made, so I decided to share it with you guys. I hope you enjoy!

1/2 pound small cleaned, peeled and devained shrimp
1 pound pasta
1 lemon, sliced
4 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon fennel seeds
1 stick of butter
2-4 garlic cloves, chopped
1/2 tablespoon parsley
1/2 - 1 cup reserved cooking water from pasta
1/4 cup white wine

1. Put a pot of water on to boil for pasta.
2. In a separate pan put a small amount of olive oil and fennel seeds (seeds are optional) on low heat.
3. In another small pan melt butter and add chopped garlic cloves.
4. Add cleaned, peeled and devained shrimp into the pan with the oil.
5. Toss in a 2-3 slices of lemon, fresh ground black pepper & cayenne pepper.
6. Drain pasta when finished, saving a cup of cooking water.
7. Once the shrimp are done cooking add in white wine, let simmer for a couple minutes.
8. Add the reserved cooking water to the shrimp.
9. Toss the pasta with butter and garlic mixture, then add the shrimp mixture into the same pan.
10. Top with parmesan cheese and parsley if wanted.
